Ive never done a formal photoshoot before aside from our wedding so I was a bit stressed but after talking to Joan over the phone, my stress level went down by half. Whether it was just how she described things or maybe its one of her many talents but she has a way to just make you comfortable. I asked if she could meet my daughter first before the shoot because my daughter can be a hit or miss (mostly miss) on pictures and Joan was more than happy to accommodate me and my daughter. She was so lovely to her and even took some pictures at her studio so that my daughter can get used to the camera. I dont even know what she did because my daughter was so comfortable in front of the camera that you’d think she does it all the time. She also offered to come over our house to meet our dog so that he would get used to her and surprisingly my dog took a liking to her that on the day of the photoshoot he didnt even bark when she got to our house. It was like she comes over regularly. Overall, it was so wonderful working with Joan and Im glad that my first experience on something like this turned out great. She has a way to make you feel comfortable even if you are not used to be in front of the camera. She makes the whole experience stress free and captures moments that are real and reflects where you are in your life.
