The Magic of New Life: A Studio Newborn Session with Baby Cyril
It’s been a minute since my last post, but in the photography world, “quiet on the blog” usually means “busy in the studio!” I’ve been so lucky to photograph a number of beautiful babies over the last few months, and I’m finally sitting down to share some of that magic with you.
A “Joan of All Trades” with a Heart for Newborns
While I consider myself a “Joan of all trades” when it comes to the variety of subjects I love to shoot, newborns will always have my heart. There is something truly sacred about the first few days of a child’s life.
Being a newborn photographer in Scotch Plains, I don’t just see my job as “taking pictures.” It is an honor to be in their presence. Capturing those tiny, fleeting features—the way their skin reflects the light, the curl of a tiny finger—fills my heart and soul. It’s a constant reminder of what a miracle life is and how lucky we are to experience it.
Meeting Baby Cyril: A Little Peanut with Perfect Skin
Speaking of miracles, let’s talk about Baby Cyril. This little guy was such a “peanut!” He had the most incredible, flawless skin that made every shot look like a painting.
During our time in the studio, we focused on those soft, organic textures that highlight just how delicate and perfect a brand-new baby is. To Cyril’s family: thank you so much for trusting me with your sweet little guy. It was a joy to document this chapter for you!
